Journalistic experience:
Special
focus on discrimination of old people and ageing: as an Assistant to the
editor-in-chief with Notre Temps-Onze Tijd (1994-1995). As an independent
investigative reporter, writing many articles on the problematic situation
of old people in nursery homes and the granny boom coming up very soon in
magazines (Knack Magazine, Weliswaar).
Special
focus on discrimination of so-called minority groups (women, handicapped
people, sick people, poor people, kids, soldiers,…) and general welfare
topics as an independent investigative reporter for magazines (Knack)
and newspapers (De Morgen, De Standaard, Het Parool, Weliswaar).
Publication of many articles on gender issues.
Health
topics (e.g. cancer) and investigation of the relationship between
toxicity (warfare, pollution, crashes) and illnesses: Gulf War Syndrome,
chronic fatigue syndrome,… in several articles in Knack magazine and the
book With Muffled Drums.
